The Millionaires Myspace.com/millionaires Brittany: Start off by telling us your name, what you do in the band and a fun fact about yourself. Melissa: I'm Melissa Marie. I sing in the band. I love wolves. Brittany: How would you describe the band to someone who has never heard of you before? Melissa: Three smoking' hott girls dressed in some crazy outfits. In the words of N*Sync, "Dirty Pop." We've got those pop hooks, crazy dance club beats, and some of the most explicit and controversial lyrics out there. Brittany: What do you think puts you guys above other bands out there right now in your genre? Melissa: I think it's because not only are our lyrics explicit and controversial, they're coming from 3 girls mouths. Our music is also a very new and different style. Brittany: How did you guys come up with the idea to become Millionaires? Melissa: Completely spontaneous. My sister, Allison Green and I make a random song called "l Like Money" one day and decided to post it on myspace and I randomly named it Millionaires, never thinking it would be anything. That first night we had over thousands of plays so the next day my best friend Dani Artaud came over and the three us made another song and now we're here! Brittany: What is your favorite song to perform live right now and why? Melissa: As of now, Alcohol definitely is. Everyone gets really into it and sings along at the top of their lungs so it makes the whole show really come together. But the newest song we just recorded will probably be the most fun to perform once its released! Brittany: Do you have any fan experiences or shows that stand out to you overall? Melissa: We love all the crazy gifts that our fans have brought us on tour. Whether it be a bracelet or barbie dolls or bottles of alcohol. Chain Reaction in Orange County,CA and the Marquis in Denver, CO are always amazing and our favorite places to perform. Brittany: What are three things you keep with you at all times when on tour? Melissa: Makeup/Wardrobe, Cell phone/laptop, & booze. Brittany:Do you have any hidden talents or guilty pleasures you want to share? Melissa: I've danced Hula, Ballet, Tap and Jazz my whole life and I was on the Varsity Girls Golf team all of high school. Guilty pleasure: Listening to the Goofy Movie and Moulin Rouge Soundtrack. Brittany: What is your opinion on the music industry right now? Melissa: I think its great the music industry is becoming more lenient and taking on the newest era of music. Brittany: If you could put together your dream tour who would be on it? Melissa:Britney Spears, Eminem, & Katy Perry. Brittany:You guys are playing Warped Tour, tell us about that, are you excited? Melissa:It's a crazy feeling to know we're one of the bands that are not only on warped tour, but playing the entire thing. This is the most excited we've been so far. We know there will be some controversy, like always, but we're ready to make it our bitch. Brittany: After Warped what do you plan on doing? Melissa:We're in the middle of recording our first full length cd, so after Warped we'll be able to finish it. We'll pretty much be touring again after Warped as well, and hope to start touring in other countries. Brittany:Any last words for the fans and readers? Melissa:Just to check out our 'Just Got Paid Lets Get Laid' EP that will be released during summer and our first full length album that will be released next year and come 'Get fucked up' with us at Warped Tour!
