Raleigh

Brittany: When and how did you join Raleigh?
Cody: I joined Raleigh in the middle of July right after the band got back from their east coast tour. And they actually contacted me while they were on tour, when they got back I went and tried out and things worked out really well! I’m really happy where I am right now.

Brittany: Where does the name of the band come from?
Cody: The name of the band is actually named after the city Raleigh, NC. There isn’t a really cool meaning behind it ha. It was a name we thought sounded awesome and has never been used.

Brittany: How would you describe the bands sound to someone who hasn't heard you yet?
Cody: Hmm I’m awful at this haha, it’s definitely something that is catchy but also has its parts where even the kids who enjoy harder music will enjoy, some have said we sound close to New Found Glory, Senses Fail, and Thursday. So if you enjoy any of these bands check us out!

Brittany: What is your favorite venue to play at?
Cody: That’s also a tough question, the best venue I’ve ever played at would probably be the Worcester Palladium. Honestly its the people and the kids that come out to every show and just have fun and really listen to us, your the reason why we love doing this so much.

Brittany: Any songs you could never get sick of playing?
Cody: All of them, every song has its own vibe to it and I would never want to stop playing any of them!

Brittany: If you could go on tour with any bands who would you choose?
Cody: Hands down The Receiving End Of Sirens, they have influenced me soo much, but honestly any band that’s hard working, and genuine people would definitely be bands I would want to tour with!

Brittany: Any shows that stick out to you? why?
Cody: Hmm there have been shows since I’ve been in Raleigh that really stood out. The first one was just a basement show, it wasn’t even suppose to happen but it eventually worked out and we had a bunch of friends there and we played for a packed basement to kids singing all of our songs. It was such a great experience. The second would probably be when we played with Sugarcult. Even though we opened the show, when we walked on the stage everyone seriously just started going nuts, and it definitely made me realize how much I love doing this.

Brittany: Do you have any hidden talents?
Cody: UMM not really haha, I am extremely good at Mario Kart for Nintendo 64... CHALLENGE ME!

Brittany: Is there anything you wish you could change with the music business?
Cody: It’s definitely a tough business, but tough for a reason. I think the only thing I would change about the business is how the image of the band and how they look or what they wear can judge how well they will do in the business.

Brittany: Any last words for the people reading this?
Cody: Well first off thank you so much for still reading! haha. And second thank you so much to anyone that has given us a chance, listened to us, told a friend, or came up to say hello to us at a show. Words couldn’t describe how much it means to us, and just keep a look out for us this coming year, we have a lot of awesome stuff happening!!!
