Rachel: Introduce yourself and what you do in the band?
Nathan: I am Nathan Barlowe lead singer and guitar player for Luna Halo

Rachel: How did the band form?
Nathan: I came to Nashville for music. It's the poor mans Los Angeles. After a few years here, my brother followed and joined my band playing guitar. Our drummer Chris was an old friend that had played in some other bands around so I called him. Aaron was recomended to me through a friend and we added him on bass.

Rachel: Where did the name Luna Halo come from?
Nathan: Outer Space...literally! I was outside one night after trying to think of a band name for weeks and looked up at the moon. It had a huge halo around it. That was it!

Rachel: Your CD Luna Halo was produced by Neal Avron who has worked with some amazing artists, how was it working with him?
Nathan: He is an extremely talented and humble guy. He knows when to let you be a band, and when to step in and make suggestions. He's great.

Rachel: What are your favorite tracks from the CD?
Nathan: I like Untouchable because it sounds unique, and World on Fire because of the lyrics.

Rachel: Pick any one of your songs and give us the meaning behind it.
Nathan: "THE BIG ESCAPE"- It's about being sick and tired of where you are, and wanting to break out and leave. The chorus represents a conversation I had with a girl once. We made a plan to rob a bank and rendevous in Rome.

Rachel: Now the writing process, is that a group effort or is it more just one person who writes the lyrics?
Nathan: It's a bit of both really. Generally I start out with an idea and take it to the band. Most of the time I write the lyrics.

Rachel: How would you describe your sound to someone who hasnt heard you before?
Nathan: It's like your first kiss. It just feels good.

Rachel: If you could choose only two words to describe this album, what would they be and why?
Nathan: Good Songs-Because they are!

Rachel: Your song "Kings and Queens" was used as the theme song to the show The King of Queens for its final season how did that make you feel?
Nathan: It was cool to turn on the t.v. and hear our song. I just didn't know if people would know who it was since we didn't have a record out yet. But I think it caught on.

Rachel: I know you guys have probably done a lot of interviews, answered a lot of questions, but are there any questions you wish you were asked?
Nathan: I don't know if this counts, but I just wish I could show people what a band goes through to get where they are. All of the hard times like sleeping in the van, playing night after night, and eating at every gas station in America. It's hard work, but worth it in the end.

Rachel: What can we expect next from Luna Halo?
Nathan: We will be touring for most of 2008 promoting the release.

Rachel: Any last words for those reading this?
Nathan: We are going to start doing what the rap guys do when they have an album coming out..."LUNA HALO" DROPS OCTOBER 30th!! HOLLA!
