Blood On The Dance Floor Myspace.com/botdfmusic Brittany: Start off by telling us your name and what you do in the band. Dahvie: Greetings! I'm Dahvie Vanity.. I am the main voice to BOTDF and writer of our music. Hair dresser by day and off center leader by night. Brittany: Do you have any random fun facts about yourself you want to share? Dahvie: uhm…I'm super chill and down to earth, I like to party and just live it up. Brittany: How would you describe the bands sound and how do you think your music stands out amongst other bands in your genre? Dahvie: We're techno..hiphop mixed with screamo.. We're different with our ideas and sound..We don't wanna sound like a blend or a trend. We want to find our own unique sound and make it epic. We write our songs about party and makin’ love but it's about music and creativity honestly. Brittany: Who came up with the name, it's really catchy! Dahvie: BLOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR was created by me and Chris Mongillo. It kinda just popped in our heads one day and we we're like...ah ha! BLOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR. I think the title fit our music perfectly. Brittany: What are your plans for the next couple of months? Dahvie: O geeez total utter chaos.. We have a new album called "ITS HAPPENING" that will be debuting this fall and will be touring all of this summer everywhere, so a lot of traveling and writing for us these next few months :D Brittany: If you could put together a dream tour whom would you choose to be on it? Dahvie: Us ..Blink 182 and our good friend J star.. It would be like holy fuck this is amazing haha.. My fav band and good friend. It would be hella fun Brittany: Do you have a favorite song to perform live? Dahvie: S MY D.. its just such a jumpy/exciting song and usually everyone knows the lyrics so the whole place turns into this huge jumpy dance party. I love the music I wrote to it and the words.. It's def my favorite and gets me going Brittany: What are three things you can't live without? Dahvie: haha My phone, my family and my friends. Brittany: What is your take on the music industry right now? Dahvie: The music industry right now is such an open field to create. This is a time where we're going to see a lot of changes and a new age of how bands and fans connect. I definitely notice such a drastic change when we came onto the scene.. It's shifting now and the cool thing about music is bands like us have more control of what we release and still can reach a mass of audience. I would just let nature do its course. I'm sure as we keep working hard and progress our sound will be reached by millions. Brittany: Any last words for the fans and readers?
